The girls carried a 100 litre backpack and walked for 4 hours up a mountain in the Lake District, then climbed to the top of Catsycam ridge. They then returned to a lake to set up camp. They worked incredibly hard as a team to put up tents, and anchor all their possessions in the strong winds.

After a restless sleep, the girls marched back down the mountain and then rowed 7 km back to the Outward Bounds centre on Ullswater and never moaned once even when Miss Wiley and Mrs Williams were singing “row row row your boat”! Several of the local ramblers were very impressed by the resilience and determination of the girls with their ‘#ThisGirlCan’ motivation with the Head of Centre even coming to greet them to congratulate them on their heroics. The Centre thoroughly enjoyed having our students who were ‘excellent ambassadors and did themselves proud’.

Well Done Girls……..#ThisGirlCan – and they certainly did!!
